General Officer Responsibilities
The following responsibilities apply to all officer positions:
- Attending summer officer meetings, dates variable
- Sending weekly officer updates via email, typically by Sunday nights
- Weekly officer meetings, typically Monday evenings
- Contributing your ideas / opinions during officer meetings
- Setting-up / Cleaning-up general meetings based on availability, typically Tuesday evenings
- Being present at all general meetings, study tables, social events, fundraisers, and volunteering opportunities if available
- Replying to the email updates of other officers, typically by Tuesday night
- Participating in social media campaigns on personal accounts
- Assisting with on-campus tabling events based on availability
President
Note: To become president, student must have held a previous officer position for at least one year (see Constitution)
What is the President?
The president is the head of the FAHC officer hierarchy. The president is responsible for overseeing and facilitating FAHC general meetings, social events, volunteering opportunities, and more. To do so, the president designs a plan of action and delegates roles accordingly. This involves leading weekly officer meetings.

Treasurer
What is the Treasurer?
The treasurer is responsible for the incoming and outgoing money in the FAHC accounts. The treasurer must work with FAHC’s affiliated bank in order to make sure that the money coming in from various fundraisers go into the correct account, and must budget for this money to be used in the appropriate ways. Additionally, the treasurer is responsible for expenditure on behalf of FAHC whether it be reimbursements or event expenses.

The secretary shall take charge and assist in the administrative tasks of FAHC. In the absence of the president, the secretary must step up to assist with leading officer meetings. It is the secretary’s responsibility to lead study tables and plan accordingly during schedule conflicts.

What is the Co-Fundraising Chair?
The Fundraising Chair shall take charge, plan, and coordinate events in order to raise funds for the organization. They may also aid with writing grants, obtaining procurements, and gaining sponsorships.

What is the Co-Marketing Chair?
The Marketing Chair shall be responsible for the manner in which the club is presented to its members and to other organizations, and for maintaining and developing its public image.

Mentorship Chair
What is the Mentorship Chair?
The mentorship chair is head of the mentorship program instilled in FAHC at UW. The mentorship chair is responsible for maintaining the mentorship program and to constantly try to improve it. The program shall promote community through development, enhance the Husky experience, and expand the network of resources available to students. The mentorship chair shall strive to cultivate strong mentor/mentee relationships between FAHC at UW’s members. The mentorship chair plans general mentorship meetings, social events like retreat, and is in charge of academic resources like study files. They are also in charge of making sure everyone in the program is happy and there aren’t any conflict between members.

Historian/Webmaster
What is the Historian/Webmaster?
The historian is in charge of maintaining a connection between Filipinx and Filipinx-Americans back home. The health corners presented by the historian at every general meeting is designed to inform others of the current health issues in the US and the Philippines. They are also in charge of taking all the beautiful pictures seen on our social media. The Webmaster is in charge of maintaining and updating the FAHC website throughout the year as well as assisting the Marketing Chair(s) in maintaining FAHC’s social media networks and ensuring all information published online is consistent.

Community Outreach Coordinator (New Position!)
What is the Community Outreach Coordinator?
The Community Outreach Coordinator should be interested in being an actively engaged individual within the organization and to its members in order to uphold the values of FAHC. They shall strive to build a politically engaged and safe space within the organization. This position is largely responsible for maintaining FAHC’s relationships with the greater community.

- Establishing and maintaining community service projects
- Writing officer meeting minutes
- Writing officer meeting minute summaries on Slack
- Creating slides for general meetings and social events
- Presenting and moderating during general meetings and social events
- Performing outreach to potential FAHC professional contacts, resources, and organizations
- Representing FAHC in the Filipino American Alliance
- Representing FAHC in the Pacific Islander Student Commission
- Maintaining relationships with other organizations
- Overseeing officer voting / availability / discussion on Slack
- Maintaining accountability and transparency of the officer board
Treasurer

- Provide means for reimbursement for events
- Manage FAHC’s PayPal and Venmo accounts
- Coordinate with fundraising chair(s) to make sure that fundraiser money makes it into FAHC bank account
- Establish goals for fundraising and expenses
Secretary
What is the Secretary?
The secretary shall take charge and assist in the administrative tasks of FAHC. In the absence of the president, the secretary must step up to assist with leading officer meetings. It is the secretary’s responsibility to lead study tables and plan accordingly during schedule conflicts.
Duties of the Secretary Include:
- Recording all proceedings of all officer meetings.
- Maintaining and managing a list of all active members.
- Keeping the school year calendar updated with all events related to FAHC.
- Sending out weekly email bulletins during the school year, and bi-weekly email bulletins during the summer.
- Creating and organizing tabling schedules for health fairs.
- Reserving rooms and lead study tables. Encouraging members to attend is a duty.
- In the absence of the Secretary due to conflicting schedules during study tables, assigning officers accordingly and in a timely manner to lead study tables.
- Aiding in any other administrative tasks as needed by any other officer.

The Fundraising Chair shall take charge, plan, and coordinate events in order to raise funds for the organization. They may also aid with writing grants, obtaining procurements, and gaining sponsorships.
Duties of the Co-Fundraising Chair Include:
- Executing events that increase funds for the organization
- Cooperating with the Treasurer to reach fundraising goals
- Communicating with the Marketing Chair(s) to execute a proper PR campaign for fundraisers
- Applying for grants, items for fundraisers
- Reaching out to other organizations to collaborate on fundraising events
Co-Marketing Chairs
What is the Co-Marketing Chair?
The Marketing Chair shall be responsible for the manner in which the club is presented to its members and to other organizations, and for maintaining and developing its public image.
Duties of the Co-Marketing Chair Include:
- Initiating and executing social media campaigns
- Communicating with other related organizations via email and/or Facebook
- Designing posters/apparel/portable memorabilia, etc.
- Creating and maintaining official FAHC social media
- Regular contact with the Webmaster and Historian to coordinate on camera usage/pictures
- Must remain up to date with events and dates so as to PR them on schedule
Mentorship Chair
What is the Mentorship Chair?

- Managing study files and academic resources
- Planning social and academic events for the year (retreat, guest speakers, etc.)
- Planning regular mentorship general meetings (pop-ups, reveal, etc.)
- Making room reservations for the mentorship meetings
- Pairing the mentors/mentees of the program
- Making sure the members of the program are following through with their respected mentor/mentee
- Finding new ways to keep members engaged and involved in the program and what it has to offer
- Creating feedback forms to track the progress of the relationships with the members of the program

- Collaborating with FASA’s political chair
- Renting out camera equipment for events and meetings (UW STLP)
- Taking pictures at events and meetings
- Uploading pictures to the Google Drive folder
- Posting pictures and recaps of meetings and events on Facebook (set reminders of upcoming events)
- Also has the freedom to execute self-driven projects such as field trips or videos that can enhance the cultural connectedness or professional development of others
- Maintain FAHC Google calendar with events, including a description, time, and location of each event
- Maintain and update each page on the website as follows:
- Homepage: social media handles, current news, features, and meeting slides
- About sections: Officer board descriptions, membership descriptions, KAPAMILYA and constitution
- Mentorship page: link to mentorship site and current mentorship news/events
- Events page: Google calendar and information about upcoming events
- Media page: photos and videos of the year. Will be reset after every school year.
- Resources page: scholarships, internship, employment and educational opportunities updated weekly
- Blog page: Post officer blogs weekly
- Contact page: Keep information current
- Check submissions to email forms and contact forms on website
- PR Blogs on Facebook when they’re posted
- Collaborate with Secretary to ensure resources and information on website are on the emails
- Present website updates at general meetings
Community Outreach Coordinator (New Position!)
What is the Community Outreach Coordinator?
